Zack covered SnapLogic a few months ago.  SnapLogic announced that SnapLogic for Amazon EC2 is now available.

I wasn’t completely sold on the need for a data integration solution “in the cloud”.  I mean, it’s cool, but is there a customer need for this to be delivered via a cloud?  Well, according to the press release:

“A recent Forrester survey indicated that data integration difficulties are the main inhibitors of enterprise adoption of SaaS.  SnapLogic leverages Web technologies to enable enterprises to easily integrate data in the cloud with data behind the firewall.”

SnapLogic’s CEO Chris Marino is quoted: “For AWS (Amazon Web Services) users that want their integration infrastructure in the cloud, SnapLogic for EC2 provides them with all the benefits they expect from SaaS, including rapid deployment, low cost, and instant scalability.”

SnapLogic’s AMI (Amazon Machine Image) is available at www.snaplogic.com/aws/ami. More info can be found at www.snaplogic.com/aws.
